上，主張應該暫緩實施新課綱，至於教育部該不該對學生提告，藍綠選民的意見就非常分歧，超過80%的泛綠民眾，認為不該告學生，但有超過50%的泛藍民眾，認同教育部對學生提告。

反課綱微調引起各界反彈，為了了解民眾看法，民進黨進行課綱民調，7月30日公佈民調結果。

民調會說話，有40%的民眾認為沒有必要微調課綱。當問到是否該暫緩課綱施行時，超過60%的泛藍選民，與超過80%的泛綠選民認為，課綱爭議多，應該暫緩實施。

但針對教育部是否該對學生提告，則是藍綠意見大為不同，有高達81%的泛綠民眾，主張撤告，但有超過53%的泛藍民眾，認為應該提告。

教育部長要告學生，引發反彈，不過國教署長吳清山表示只要學生悔改，就考慮撤告。這種說法讓民進黨無法認同。

不滿教育部一意孤行施行微調課綱，甚至提告學生，藍綠意見大相逕庭，課綱爭議越演越烈。（民視新聞王暐婷、楊仁翔台北報導）
